I am either getting luckier, or I am entering a ton of giveaways. I won two more books. One from Goodreads, and another from LDS author Jennie Hansen. Notes from Jennie's desk has giveaways twice a month, and I enter every time. I am super excited. You know what I've noticed though? I never win if it's a book that I am dying to own. Go figure, but hey, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I am happy to win any giveaway. While I'm thinking about it, what would happen if you looked a gift horse in the mouth? Would it eat you? Who came up with that phrase anyway?
What's the best thing you've ever won in a giveaway?
Look deep in that mouth.
Did you find anything there?
Empty Pinata.

Hey Amy, a horse's age can be determined by looking at the growth and wear patterns on his teeth. Hence if you are given a horse as a gift (a "gift horse") you shouldn't look it in the mouth to see how old it is - that would seem ungrateful.
Love yer guts,
Candi
ps - Yes I have seen The Dark Crystal. And thanks a lot, that memory was nicely repressed. I'm going to have nightmares tonight.

Thanks Candi! I knew it would take a real horse expert to answer that conundrum.
I think I may be getting luckier too lol. I went from not winning anything to winning something almost every other day!
I've won tons of great things over the years (like the neat bag that I love from Carly Phillips) but my most recent win of a $50 B&N giftcard really tops the list!
